Rural Ottawa South Support Services (ROSSS) is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Coordinator to oversee our Adult Day Program. This role is essential in providing high-quality care and support to frail elderly and seniors with dementia. The Coordinator will be responsible for program development and implementation, participant assessment and care planning, volunteer management, health and safety oversight, participation in regional committees, budget management, and continuous program evaluation and improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
Program Development and Implementation:
· Design and implement engaging and therapeutic activities tailored to the needs and abilities of participants.
· Ensure programs promote physical, mental, and social well-being.
Assessment and Care Planning:
· Conduct initial and ongoing assessments of participants to understand their needs and preferences.
· Develop individualized care plans and monitor participant progress.
Volunteer Management:
· Train, and supervise volunteers to assist with program delivery.
· Coordinate volunteer schedules and ensure adequate coverage.
Health and Safety Oversight:
· Ensure a safe and accessible environment for all participants.
· Ensure ROSSS’ policies and procedures are strictly followed.
Regional Committee Participation:
· Actively participate in regional committees and collaborative efforts to enhance service delivery and community support.
Administrative Duties:
· Manage budgets, supplies, and resources efficiently.
· Maintain accurate records and documentation for regulatory compliance and reporting.
Program Evaluation and Improvement:
· Evaluate program effectiveness through feedback and best practices.
· Implement improvements to enhance participant experience and program outcomes.
Reporting and Statistics
Qualifications:
· Degree or diploma in Social Work, Gerontology, Health Care, or a related field.
· Experience in program development and implementation for seniors or individuals with dementia.
· Strong organizational and leadership skills.
· Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
· Knowledge of health and safety regulations in a care setting.
· Proficiency in budget management and resource allocation.
