Parking Enforcement Officer

Job Summary

We are seeking 3 highly organized and detail-oriented individuals to join our team as Parking Enforcement Officers.

The successful candidates will be responsible for enforcing parking regulations, issuing citations, and providing excellent customer service to the public. If you have a passion for maintaining order and ensuring compliance, we encourage you to apply for this exciting opportunity.

Responsibilities:

• Patrol assigned areas to identify and enforce parking violations
• Issue citations and warnings for non-compliance with parking regulations
• Provide clear and concise information to the public regarding parking rules and regulations
• Respond to citizen complaints and concerns in a professional manner
• Maintain accurate records of citations issued and parking enforcement activities
• Collaborate with other law enforcement agencies as necessary
• Perform other related duties

Requirements:

• High school Diploma or equivalent required; post-secondary education in a related field an asset
• 1-2 years of experience in parking enforcement or a related field
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to lift to 25 kg (55lbs) and walk/stand for extended periods
• Valid driver’s license and own vehicle

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with parking enforcement software and technology
• Knowledge of local parking bylaws and regulations
• Certification in First Aid and CPR and conflict resolution an asset

Working Conditions:

• Work is performed indoors and outdoors, in all weather conditions
• May be required to work varying shifts, including evenings and weekends

Pay: From $17.20 per hour

Education:

• Secondary School (required)

Experience:

• parking enforcement: 1 year (required)

Language:

• English (required)
• French (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

• deputization (required)
• CPR Certification (preferred)
• Security Guard Licence (preferred)
