Position Description


Reporting to the Senior Clinical Manager, the Accounts Coordinator will be responsible for supporting the accounting processes and workflows for the patients, families and the team in the Department of Dentistry

Here's What You'll Get To Do

  • Maintain financial accounts of the Department of Dentistry in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles and the financial practices of the hospital
  • Facilitate the delivery of patient care by providing a high level of support and assistance to patient cluster staff, and patients/families
  • Support the operation of the Dentistry Department by providing clerical and administrative functions
  • Ensure that information is complete, accurate, accessible and protected

Here's What You'll Need

  • Minimum of a grade 12 diploma with additional Accounting courses and experience required
  • Familiarity with dental and orthodontic claims processing required
  • 2 years of administrative and accounting experience strongly preferred
  • Proficient in Outlook and MS Office. Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, SharePoint
  • Dental terminology is an asset.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication and organizational skills
  • Strong customer service orientation
  • Attention to detail and efficient time management
  • Demonstrated problem solving ability and to make decisions
  • Ability to work efficiently in team environment
  • A commitment to understanding and aiding in the pursuit of equity, diversity & inclusion

Employment Type; 13 month full time contract
