At SMS Equipment, our OHSE Coordinator is responsible for supporting the OHSE team to ensure a cohesive and uniform structure to align and standardize information and internal processes. This position is in Acheson, AB.
This position offers a hybrid work arrangement.
The salary range for this position is $50,000 - $65,000.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Manage multiple contractor compliance portals, i.e ComplyWorks, Avetta, Cognibox and ISNetworld, daily to ensure SMS company status remains in good standing.
- Ensure client requirements are uploaded in a timely manner.
- Identify up-coming changes with a focus on prevention of delay for site access.
- Coordinate and disseminate OHSE communications ensuring that the information is accurate and released on schedule.
- Manage, maintain, and lead schedule for review, translation and distribution of Knowledge Shares, Weekly Shift Focuses and monthly meeting presentations.
- Collaborate with internal departments to include additional initiatives and/or messaging.
- Compile monthly/weekly statistics reports and disseminate them to the OHSE team as per schedule.
- Support OHSE Leadership in the coordination of OHSE related initiatives and special events.
- Coordinate all roll out material for initiatives and manage the OHSE SharePoint page.
- Organize and coordinate the annual OHSE off-site workshop.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
The successful candidate will have a High School Diploma or equivalent paired with a minimum of 3 years administration experience. Additional requirements include:
- Strong computer skills specifically with Microsoft Office.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Highly organized with the ability to work under tight deadlines.
- OHSE Certificate or Diploma, Health and Safety Administration Diploma would be considered an asset.
- Experience working within Contractor Compliance portals would be considered an asset.
- Previous Health and Safety administration experience would be considered an asset.
