As a leader in community health, our locally and internationally recognized community services include cutting-edge primary health services, health promotion, harm reduction, environmental health, community food centre and population-based community programs for marginalized peoples. The role of Community Advocacy Program (CAP) Facilitator within the Harmony Community Food Centre program is to support people who live on a low income to navigate the system of social services and government entitlements and to engage and mobilize community members to take action on local issues and the larger structural forces that are ultimately responsible for food insecurity and poverty. The CAP Facilitator will support shared community meals, cooking and gardening programming and take leadership for advocacy programs that improve access to healthy food, build food knowledge and skill and support action on issues of poverty and food insecurity.
