Student/Intern Optician

```Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Student / Intern Optician to join our team. As a Student / Intern Optician, you will be responsible for assisting customers in selecting and fitting eyeglasses and contact lenses. You will also provide exceptional customer service and ensure that all optical products meet the highest quality standards. Responsibilities:
- Assist customers in selecting and fitting eyeglasses and contact lenses based on their prescription and personal preferences
- Take accurate measurements of customers' eyes, including pupillary distance and frame size
- Educate customers on lens options, coatings, and other enhancements to meet their visual needs
- Adjust eyeglasses to ensure proper fit and comfort
- Process orders for eyewear and contact lenses, including verifying insurance coverage and obtaining necessary authorizations
- Maintain accurate records of customer prescriptions, orders, and payments
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and ensuring customer satisfaction
- Collaborate with the optical team to achieve sales targets and promote a positive work environment

Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a Student / Intern Optician or in a similar role is required
- Strong knowledge of optical products, including frames, lenses, coatings, and contact lenses
- Proficiency in laboratory work, including lens cutting, edging, and mounting
- Excellent retail sales skills with a proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets
- Familiarity with retail management principles is preferred
- Knowledge of Epic or other electronic medical record systems is a plus
- Familiarity with medical terminology related to optometry is an asset
