Overview:

Tamarack is a corporation engaged in the exploration, development, production and sale of oil and natural gas in the Western Canadian Sedimentary Basin. The Company is currently developing two core projects in Northern Alberta – a Clearwater heavy oil position at Nipisi, Marten Hills and South Clearwater and a Charlie Lake light oil position at Valhalla, Wembley and Pipestone. Tamarack also manages an enhanced oil recovery portfolio of diverse assets across Alberta. The Company is committed to the advancement of ESG practices, including GHG emissions management and partnerships with local communities.

We are currently looking for a Treasury Analyst to join our Calgary head office team. This full-time position will be available starting in April 2024. Reporting to our Senior Treasury Analyst, the successful candidate will have the opportunity to participate in a wide range of meaningful assignments and work closely with experienced professionals from various disciplines.

Summary of Duties:

  • Prepares entries for bank transactions
  • Reconciles bank statements
  • Oversees accurate and timely processing and payment of customer invoices via wire and EFTs
  • Assists with completion of month end process
  • Assists with the monthly GST filings
  • Assists with hedging settlements and reporting
  • Reconciles employee and non-resident withholding tax
  • Prepares supporting schedules, calculations, journal entries and reports in accordance with month end calendar
  • Reviews, balances, and interprets reports, and makes corrections as required.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Education Requirements:

  • Three years of Canadian upstream oil & gas industry experience
  • Experience with Pandell JV is an asset.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with online banking platforms.
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail
  • Above average communication skills (written and oral)
  • Ability to work as part of a team as well as independently.
  • Ability to successfully work with multiple deadlines in a changing environment.
  • Microsoft Excel / Spreadsheets

Hours:

  • Full-time with overtime typically experienced during monthly and quarterly reporting cycles.
