The opportunity:
As an EAP counsellor, you will provide in-person counselling services to TELUS Health's EAP clients in your area, on an as-needed basis. You will be working as an independent contractor based on your ability to accept new clients.
How you will make an impact:
You will provide short-term counselling to a diverse set of clients dealing with various issues, within the terms and conditions of the client’s EAP;
You will manage the administrative requirements as dictated by TELUS Health's clinical models.
Are you the collaborator we are looking for:
You possess a master’s degree in Counselling, Psychology, or Social Work;
You hold a registration with a counselling Association, with valid professional liability insurance;
You have post-graduate counselling experience with multiple populations;
You demonstrate the ability to set short term objectives and use a solution focused approach;
You have the ability to clinically manage high-risk cases, including clients who are a threat to self or others;
You have good knowledge of community resources.
