Position Information

The Manager of Wellness, Engagement and Recognition is responsible for leading initiatives that promote employee wellness, foster engagement, and recognize the contributions of staff across the organization.

The position reports to the Chief Strategy and People Officer for recognition and event planning, and the Director of People Health, Wellness and Engagement for other key program priorities.

The Manager, Wellness, Engagement and Recognition will oversee the strategic planning, program development, and oversight of activities that support the health and well-being of employees, as well as the cultivation of a positive and inclusive workplace culture.

This position is temporary until approximately October 4, 2025.

What You Will Bring

  • Four (4) year Undergraduate Degree in Communications, Event Planning, Public Relations, Marketing, Human Resources, or related field;
  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience working in a large Health care setting;
  • Progressive leadership experience is required;
  • Experience making financial decisions;
  • Proficiency with all MS Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint and Word);
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on building relationships and community.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate a team;
  • Ability to prioritize workload to achieve departmental/organizational goals effectively and efficiently;
  • Solid track record of building relationships at all levels and providing pro-active and responsive solutions;
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively manage stressful situations with compassion and integrity;
  • Adaptability, flexibility and high degree of resilience;

You will stand out with:

  • Experience working in a unionized environment;
  • Experience in managing wellness, engagement, or recognition programs within a healthcare setting;
  • Master's degree.
