The Toronto Hunt is a private golf and social club that is committed to providing its members and guests with the optimum in service, product, and surroundings every day.
We are seeking a skilled full time permanent Facilities Manager to oversee the maintenance and operation of our facilities. This position requires the candidate to live on the property. This is a leadership role that requires strong organizational skills and the ability to manage a team effectively.
Responsibilities for this position will include:
Actively participate and manage the cleanliness, maintenance and presentation of the Clubhouse, Golf Center and two residences on property.
Develop and implement maintenance procedures to ensure efficient operation of all systems
Maintain and Monitor running routine safety inspections, corresponding with contractors, planning maintenance work, maintaining records.
Housekeeping – hires, trains, schedules and supervises the housekeeping / cleaning staff to meet the needs of member activity and events
Preventative Maintenance – manages all daily, weekly and monthly preventative and operational maintenance activities including contract activity with HVAC, fire protection and sprinkler service providers, in compliance with regulatory standards.
Capital Improvements – as project manager, oversee work of suppliers and contractors hired to provide capital improvement services to the Club
Operating and Capital Budgets – participates in the development of operating and capital budgets and operates within those budgets, as approved by the Board of Directors.
Work safely and ensure compliance with the Occupational Health and Safety Act-identify potential hazards and to mitigate risk to buildings and property.
Lead and mentor facility maintenance staff to achieve operational excellence
Skills and Qualifications:
5 years proven knowledge and experience in building maintenance, facilities management or a skilled trade-which includes strong knowledge of HVAC, electrical, and plumbing
Skilled trade license or post secondary education or equivalent combination of education and experience (Preferred but not required)
Familiar with all health and safety requirements in Ontario, fire prevention regulations
Strong communication skills that will support responsibilities to staff, member committees, suppliers and outside contractors.
Demonstrated ability and experience in project management and budget control.
