Work Location: Hybrid. This role will be based out of the THFC centralized Head Office located in St. George, Ontario. This position will require you to be in-office at least 3 days/week. Minimal travel may be required throughout Canada and the US to attend meetings and special events.
What would you be doing?
- Plays a supporting role to the entire communications department from internal and external communications, digital and social communications, and restaurant owner communications.
- Monitoring all Tims Camps social and traditional media and effectively managing concerns as they arise as per established guidelines.
- Creating and posting social media content in keeping with annual internal and external communication plans as per established schedule.
- Developing and maintaining an accessible database/library of THFC images and materials, and continually updates to meet emerging needs.
- Managing storage and archiving of historical Tims Camps communications and documentation
- Act as Key liaison with Camp teams and other internal Departments to support communication and marketing efforts related to Tim Hortons Camp Day, Tim Hortons Convention, and other assigned events.
- Coordinating media requests and other marketing/communication initiatives as assigned.
- Identifying potential stories and/or spokespeople from available content.
- Coordinating with external partners and agencies regarding marketing initiatives such as content creation.
- Preparing speakers, past campers, and staff members to speak on behalf of the Foundation including but, not limited to the following: Identification and tracking of potential spokespeople, creation of speaking points, power point decks and any logistical items.
- Ensuring policies for photo consent, trademark and logo usage and copyright compliance are in place and continually updated.
- Responding to general inquiries from the public, drafts letters and memos for circulation, reviews documents prior to publication, and serves as contact for general inquiries as required.
- Leads other projects as assigned.
Does this sound like you?
- Post-Secondary degree in a related field or equivalent experience
- Public relations and/or, marketing experience an asset
- Excellent written and oral communication skills and the ability to identify and tell a great story
- Proven experience with creating compelling social media content, monitoring and managing media assets
- Proven project management skills and strong presentation development skills
- Experience developing promotional literature
- Knowledge of the camping and outdoor environmental education field an asset
- Strong time management and organizational skills
- Experience and capability using Microsoft Office, including Word, Power Point and Excel
- Experience with Adobe Creative and Canva
- Ability to travel throughout Canada and the US as required (less than 5%)
- Bilingual (French/English – oral and written); an asset
