Overview:
As a Community Outreach Specialist, you will be instrumental in fostering connections with local communities and establishing meaningful partnerships with businesses and organizations. Your efforts will play a vital role in promoting engagement and collaboration, ultimately contributing to the growth and success of our festival.
Responsibilities:
Engage with Local Communities:
- Actively reach out to diverse community organizations to build relationships and foster engagement.
- Attend community events and meetings to represent our festival and promote our mission.
Build Partnerships:
- Identify potential partners among businesses, nonprofits, educational institutions, and other organizations.
- Initiate and cultivate partnerships through networking, outreach, and relationship-building.
- Collaborate with partners to develop and implement joint initiatives that benefit the community and align with our objectives.
Communication:
- Communicate effectively with community members, partners, and stakeholders through various channels, including in-person meetings, phone calls, emails, and social media.
- Articulate our organization's mission, goals, and initiatives clearly and persuasively.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in community outreach, engagement, or related fields.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build rapport with diverse audiences.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with social media platforms.

Pay: $18.00 per hour
Expected hours: No more than 30 per week
