Toyota Canada Inc. currently has an exciting Electrification Planning opportunity. This is a 24-month acting/contract opportunity and will report to the Manager, Electrification. The selected candidate will be accountable for facilitating an Electrification priority which impacts a diverse group of internal stakeholders. This unique role includes initiating, planning, executing, controlling, closing, and governance adherence. The candidate will have an opportunity to lead, plan and execute an Enterprise-wise Electrification priority within the context of a portfolio with interdependencies, while fostering relationships with stakeholders to ensure their participation and support.

What You’ll be Doing:
Planning & Execution
Actively manage plans, dependencies, scope, risks, issues, quality, and deliver projects in line with overall project commitments
Develop detailed project work plans and schedules
Maintain relationships with a broad group of stakeholders to ensure project delivery expectations are clear and met
Coordinate and monitor operational activity to agreed-upon milestones and document through reporting mechanisms
Prepare proposals, presentations, schedule and budgets
Identify and escalate missing deliverables
Engage all necessary stakeholders to ensure successful project implementation
Align priority within the Enterprise Strategic Plan, paying close attention to the roadmap and adjacent priorities
Guide and manage assigned projects or phases from start to completion
Manage project resources including needs and scheduling
Effectively track deliverables, milestones, and change requests
Manage project scope by investigating and making recommendations on issues that challenge scope
Monitor and report on project progress and coordinate contingency plans & countermeasures as necessary
Drive resolution of any conflicts and escalate as needed to avoid roadblocks
Establish and manage the upkeep of the RACI around project roles and responsibilities
Key Performance Indicator Management
Develop and document KPIs to track effectiveness of Electrification activities
Clearly articulate how KPIs ladder up to organizational objectives
Change Management & Communications
Facilitate change management and communication planning activities through project lifecycle
Drive regular forums to update business communities and steering committee on progress, status and issues
Provide weekly status update to stakeholders
What You’ll Bring:
University degree or college diploma in Business or related field
3 years of automotive experience and/or planning experience
Dealership experience (retail or zone) is an asset
Strong relationship building and interpersonal skills with an entrepreneurial mindset
Experience leading multiple projects and working collaboratively across groups to gain consensus
Strong organizational, prioritization and time-management skills
Excellent oral and written communication skills; comfortable presenting complex ideas to various audiences and leading meetings
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, advanced Microsoft Excel skills
Bilingual (English and French) is an asset
