IT support technician (On-site)

Our growing company is looking for an onsite IT support/service technician in Kelowna HQ. If you are looking for an exciting place to work, please take a look at the list of qualifications below.

Responsibilities for IT support technician

· Set up, maintain, and troubleshoot computer systems and networks for clients onsite and using remote access tools and software.

· Provide technical support and guidance to users on how to operate and optimize their IT infrastructure and devices.

· Perform system updates, backups, security checks, and performance monitoring remotely.

· Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, printing, and network issues using remote diagnostic tools and techniques.

· Communicate effectively with clients and colleagues using online platforms and tools.

· Document and report IT incidents, solutions, and feedback.

· Identity and access management for user accounts, systems and applications through organization.

· Monitoring and maintenance for server-room infrastructure, including VPN and firewall.

· With little supervision, respond to communication regarding software/hardware issues received via phone/e-mail/messages.

· Possesses extensive knowledge of company processes, procedures, and product information.

· Providing excellent customer service to our employees

· Websites administration.

· Performs other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

· Education – Two-year Diploma or above in Information Technology.

· Demonstrated knowledge of IT business processes and procedures. Expertise in administrative ad enterprise application support

· Enjoy meeting people and building relationships with the employees you support.

· Understand the process of configuring laptops and desktops software distribution.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent

Pay: $20.00-$22.50 per hour

Expected hours: No more than 40 per week

Experience:

  • IT support: 2 years (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

  • CompTIA A (preferred)
