Detailed Job Description:

Warehouse Team Member’s responsibilities while working in cooler:

- Responsible for keeping cooler area clean, tidy, and safe.

- Responsible for emptying garbage in cooler.

- Responsible for printing stickers and refilling stickers/labels for all customers.

- Responsible for rotating product.

- Responsible for putting product away as it arrives.

- Responsible for performing an accurate inventory count at end of day everyday.

- Packing orders of cut flowers and branches.

Warehouse Team Member’s responsibilities while working in warehouse:

- Responsible for keeping warehouse area clean, tidy, and safe.

- Responsible for emptying all garbage in warehouse.

- Responsible for watering plants during summer.

- Responsible for filling warehouse printer with paper.

- Responsible for checking, printing, and responding to emails when necessary.

- Responsible for rotating stock and dating stock.

- Responsible for counting/organizing pails.

- Responsible for performing an accurate inventory count at end of day every day.

- Picking up greenhouse product when necessary.

- Identification of pests and bugs.

- Marking/packing orders of potted plants.

Warehouse Team Member’s responsibilities while working with Logistics:

- Responsible for unloading trucks of pails, stacking, making up skids of pails.

- Responsible for assisting in loading trucks each day.

All Warehouse Team Member’s are responsible for the following:

- Ensuring that all customer orders are completed accurately.

- Ensuring that quality control methods are being followed with every customer.

- Maintaining a strong understanding of product shelf life, easily identifying when product is not meeting quality standards.

- Occasional indoor and outdoor maintenance (window cleaning, shovelling, or salting sidewalk during wintertime etc.).

- Cleaning/greasing carts when necessary.

- Communicating effectively with colleagues and the warehouse manager.

- Understanding and adhering to all Trillium Florals policies and safety guidelines.

About Trillium Floral / Position Details

Trillium Floral is a cut flower and potted plant wholesaler. We ship exclusively to the United States, with runs going out directly from our warehouse every night. We are a growing company and need to keep up with the demand of work associated with increased sales and product coming in.

Product is ordered and delivered from a variety of local growers, processed, and packed in house and delivered with our own fleet of trucks. The Warehouse Team Member will be responsible for assisting with various tasks as assigned by the Warehouse Manager and assisting drivers in loading up the trucks in the late afternoon/evenings.

This person must be readily available for the following shifts/hours.

· Must be available most Afternoons/Evenings, in addition to daily mid-morning start time

· Due to the nature of our business, we are sometimes open on Canadian Statutory Holidays and may be required to work.

Physical Requirements

- Standing

- Walking

- Ability to lift to 50LBS.

- In-house training will be provided

- Customer service background is an asset
