Summer Camp Support Staff on Call

The Unionville College (UC) Summer Camps are designed to provide a variety of unique, fun-filled experiences in a safe environment. Our summer camp starts with plenty of field trips, wild visitors, exciting activities and aims to share precious memories with all our campers; memories we know they will carry with them for a lifetime.

Job Description:

We are currently seeking On-Call Support Staff for our upcoming summer camp season. This role is ideal for individuals who are looking for flexible hours and are available to work on an as-needed basis. As an On-Call Support Staff, you will be responsible for providing assistance to our camp staff during the summer camp season. This may include supporting camp operations, assisting with program activities, and providing supervision to campers. This position is an important part of our summer camp team and requires a positive and enthusiastic attitude, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work well under pressure.

Possible extension into school year Sept-June

Responsibilities but not limited to:

· Help camp staff as needed

· Assist with program activities and events

· Provide supervision to campers when needed

· Ensure the safety and well-being of all campers

· Maintain a positive and enthusiastic attitude

· Communicate effectively with camp staff, campers, and parents/guardians

Qualifications:

· Availability to work on-call, as needed between the hours of 8am-6:00pm

· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

· Ability to work well under pressure

· Positive and enthusiastic attitude

· Ability to work collaboratively with others

· Previous camp or youth program experience is preferred

Physical Requirements:

· Ability to participate in physical activities with campers, such as hiking, swimming, sports etc.

· Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time, and to work in outdoor and indoor environments in various weather conditionsBottom of Form
