The Store Experience:
The UNIQLO Summer Retail Internship program offers highly motivated, talented individuals who are passionate about becoming aspiring store managers and leaders in the retail industry, the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a UNIQLO storefront. In this paid program, you will work with key members of the UNIQLO team to learn the business fundamentals of a global apparel retailer and gain experience in the day-to-day operations of the store, including customer service, Sales Floor Tasks, leadership, staff development, and business analysis.
End of Term Project:
In addition to supporting the business operations of your store, you will focus approximately 20% of your scheduled time on a unique project that tackles an opportunity or area of improvement at your specific store location. Examples of past projects include suggesting new marketing campaigns, increasing internal employee morale, tracking and improving customer reviews and store experience, and other localized business improvement projects. At the end of the Internship Program, you will present your project and findings to our store and corporate leaders!

Further to learning various aspects of the UNIQLO store business, you will also have the opportunity to network and learn from top leaders in the retail industry. The UNIQLO Retail Internship Program is the first step in an exciting and dynamic career in store management, with the opportunity to be considered for our full-time UNIQLO Manager Candidate (UMC) Program based on interns’ performance. This program is designed for individuals who want to begin their retail management careers in UNIQLO stores.
Desired Skills and Experience:
- Enrolled at an accredited university for an undergraduate or graduate degree
- Ability to work minimum 24 hours/week
- Ability to work a flexible schedule that meets needs of the business/store, including evenings and weekends
- Passion for UNIQLO and its products
- Previous retail, hospitality, or sales experience preferred
- Strong leadership experience and work ethic, self-starter and independent
- Clear aspiration to become a future business leader in the retail industry
- Effective communication skills using company platforms, including but not limited to: Microsoft Outlook, Google Suite, etc.
- Attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to prioritize
