Working for the Department
The inflammatory bowel disease unit of the Division of Gastroenterology consists of 6 gastroenterlogists, 4 IBD nurses, treating approximately 5,000 IBD patients. Our research projects are aimed to improve treatment and outcomes for our patients.
Position
The Clinical Research Assistant will be responsible for assisting in recruiting potential study participants for clinical research protocols; initiating investigator-initiated studies, maintaining compliance with regulatory, ethics and other stipulations as necessary; and building and maintaining a network of contacts internally and externally to help promote research. The candidate will also be responsible for building up an IBD registry. Studies and provincial database will focus on inflammatory bowel disease patients (Crohn`s disease, ulcerative colitis).
