Position
University of Alberta Golden Bears & Pandas Athletics encourages applications for an Event Services Associate. Reporting to the Manager, Events - Marketing - Sponsorship, the Event Services Associate is highly involved in the coordination and supervision of the Athletics Production team that operates the technical components associated with live webcasts and event presentations. Additionally, the position provides multimedia support in the promotion of Golden Bears & Pandas Athletics by using graphic and video software to create and develop various forms of media and to deliver key messages and stories that can be communicated through online channels. This position supports the communications team in researching, creating, and editing content for a variety of audience-specific digital platforms.
Duties
This position works with the Athletics Events & Marketing Manager to ensure effective and efficient operation in the management of all Athletic Events webcasts and plays a pivotal role in the following areas:
The Event Services Associate is responsible for creating a variety of multimedia (audio/video) content for Golden Bears & Pandas Athletics. This position executes pre-production, production and post-production work (for various live events, lectures, interviews, and webcast programs), in order to tell compelling stories online and content that aligns with strategic goals, serving to build a digital repository that enhances Athletics, and the University's reputation as well as maintaining brand integrity. Productions encompass a variety of videos (announcements, promotions, product marketing, recruitment, training, and community engagement).
