THE OPPORTUNITY – Recycling Service Worker (Hourly)

Reporting to the Manager, this position is responsible to sort and count recycled beverage containers; preparing them for shipping and providing cash refunds to customers at the Bottle Depot. This position provides customer service and is required to follow safe work practices consistent with the Mission, Vision, Values, and Guiding Principles.

Hours of work are dependent on the Bottle Depot operational needs.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Counting, sorting, and stacking recyclable beverage containers
  • Responding to customer inquiries and requests at the counter
  • Working with a Point of Sale cash register
  • Assisting with warehouse duties and commercial pick-up services
  • Daily clean-up routines
  • Follow safe work place practices, and report all unsafe work conditions to the supervisor or Manager.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $15.00 per hour

Expected hours: 10 – 30 per week

Schedule:

  • Day shift
  • Evening shift
  • Monday to Friday
  • Weekends as needed
  • Weekends only
