Job Posting for Project Coordinator at Vestacon Limited

VESTACON is seeking a graduate who is looking for full-time employment in the position of Project Coordinator for office interior renovation projects. Previous project coordinator experience specifically in commercial office interiors will be considered an asset. The ideal candidate will also be organized, motivated, and detail-oriented.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with construction projects, including liaising with Architects, Consulting Engineers and Subcontractors
  • Be an ambassador of the company both internally and externally
  • Assisting and organizing the tender process
  • Assist with maintenance of project files and preparation of reports
  • Log, review and process all shop drawings
  • Log, process and issue all site instructions, change notices and RFIs
  • Issue contracts and purchase orders as directed by the project manager
  • Assist in creating project schedule
  • Work with accounting department to ensure project accounting is accurate and timely
  • Prepare and maintain a directory of suppliers and subcontractors
  • Liase, consult and communicate with engineers, owners, architects, and subcontractors
  • Responsible for all facets of project close-outs, including archiving of documents, maintenance and warranty manuals, deficiencies, warranty work and coordinating drawings from sub-trades.
  • Participate, coordinate and lead site meetings as required
  • Ability to read drawings is a requirement
  • Must represent Vestacon in a professional manner at all times
  • Other duties as required

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 1-3 years experience in construction field (office interior specific experience an asset)
  • Bachelor's Degree/Diploma in Architectural Science, Civil Engineering, Applied Science, Accounting or other construction-related field
  • Ability to read construction drawings is required
  • Strong understanding of commercial interior renovation/construction process
  • Proficiency with MS Word and Excel
  • Ability to multi-task, work well independently and meet strict deadlines
  • Self-motivated with strong work ethics.
  • Possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills, analytical and problem solving skills, decision-making skills, stress and time management skills, as well as excellent team building/ leadership skills.

Pay: $60,000.00-$70,000.00 per year
