Pallet Washing Labourer

Vilati Group is a leader in building, washing, and repairing pallets, crates, and containers safely and efficiently. Dealing in metal and wood, our pallets are shipped worldwide. The Warehousing and Palleting Labour is critical in the operation of Vilati Group. This position is responsible for running the crate and pallet wash plant, maintaining inventory, and ensuring outbound loads are being shipped in a timely manor.

Role & Responsibilities:

• Assist transport drivers to park into the dock
• Off-load van trailers
• Sort crates
• Load crates into washing plant per instructions
• Wash creates to the highest standard removing any labels and debris.
• Stacking crates and pallets
• Recording inventory
• Electronically scan all inventory
• Unload parts from washing equipment and prepare for shipment
• Repair crates and pallets
• Assemble crates
• Load van trailers safely
• Ensure workspace is clean, organized, and safe
• Report any deficiencies

Requirements:

• Operator must have physical strength, hand-eye coordination, and endurance.
• Operator must also be able to concentrate on their tasks.
• Responsible for troubleshooting jams and basic maintenance of wash plant.
• Perform good housekeeping practices
• The ability to understand and communicate information is also essential.
• Be able to work in a team.
• Responsible for all other duties as assigned
• PPE must always be worn.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $17.00-$20.00 per hour

Flexible Language Requirement:

• French not required

Schedule:

• Monday to Friday
• Weekends as needed

Supplemental pay types:

• Overtime pay

• Sarnia, ON: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

Experience:

• warehouse: 1 year (preferred)
