Job Description:
This is an entry-level position for a candidate with foundational web development skills. As a Junior Web Developer, you will play a key role in developing, maintaining, and enhancing websites for our clients, while also supporting API integrations, CRM consulting, and technical bids. You will collaborate with various teams, contribute to technical documentation, and stay up-to-date with industry trends through learning and certification.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist or lead with design, development, and maintenance of website, web applications, and databases;
- Collaborate with designers and development teams to translate client needs into functional and visually appealing web designs.
- Ensure websites are up-to-date, optimized for performance, and meet web standards.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues, bugs, and functionality errors on existing websites.
- Conduct regular testing of websites to ensure optimal performance and usability.
- Participate in client meetings to discuss web development projects and gather requirements.
- Support API integrations and ensure seamless communication between platforms and applications.
- Provide CRM consulting and technical support to optimize client relationship management systems.
- Assist with technical bids and presentations, helping to develop proposals for web development projects.
- Learn and test new technologies to stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements.
- Create and maintain technical documentation for web projects and internal processes.
- Work toward acquiring relevant industry certifications to enhance skills and professional growth.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or diploma in Web Development, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Proficiency in HTML, CSS, and basic JavaScript.
- Familiarity with popular content management systems (CMS) such as WordPress and Shopify.
- Experience with back-end development (Python/Django, Node.js, etc.).
- Knowledge of databases (MySQL) and JavaScript frameworks (React, MERN stack).
- Familiarity with eCommerce development and platforms.
- Attention to detail with strong problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work in a collaborative team environment.
- A portfolio showcasing relevant web development work.
Bonus Skills (Nice to Have but Not Required):
- Knowledge of CRM systems and CRM API integrations.
- Experience working with OpenAI APIs for web-based applications.

Term, Work Hours, Location, and Compensation
- This is a full-time, permanent position with benefits.
- Compensation: $50,000 per annum for a 35-hour work week.
- Work hours: 9 am to 5 pm, Monday to Friday.
- This is an in-person role based at our Richmond Hill office.
