Meat Cutter

Westfine Meats Inc. is currently hiring a Meat Cutter at our meat processing plant. This position works Monday - Friday, 7:00 am - 3:30 pm. Shift end times may vary.

What You’ll Do

• Will perform the humane harvest of livestock using stunning devices, air knives, saws, hydraulic cutters, steam vacuums and other by-product recovery equipment.

• Produce sanitary edible carcasses and while maximizing the carcass utilization.

• Skin, clean, and trim carcasses; remove viscera and other inedible parts from carcasses.

• Harvest sheep, goats, and mutton while maintaining Halal Standards.

• Clean work areas and equipment.

• Monitor personal and co-worker health & safety.

• Other duties and/or special projects assigned by Lead Hand, Supervisor, HR/ Safety Coordinator, or Manager.

What You Bring

• Previous meat cutting experience

• Attention to detail

• Punctual and reliable

• Physically fit (able to lift 50 lbs)

• Enjoy working on a team

• No formal education required

Nice to have

• Previous experience working in a meat processing plant

• Education experience in agriculture

• Butcher experience
