Construction Labourer

Westgate Landworks Inc. is looking for creative and hard-working individuals to join our team of skilled construction labourers. Must be willing to be responsible for performing a variety of labour work tasks to assist with the completion of hard and softscape projects.

Core Skills & Responsibilities Include:

• Aid in project of hard and softscape construction projects from start to finish alongside other Team Members
• Assist with loading and unloading tools and products into work trucks
• Keep trailer, vehicles, and construction area neat and organised
• Comply with company safety policy, procedure, and practices
• Experience with operation of a skid steer, excavator an asset
• Must be flexible in work schedule and, willingness to work outdoors in ever changing weather conditions
• Ability to lift 30-50lbs
• Ability to withstand some repetitive physical work (kneeling, bending, lifting)
• Ability to travel to multiple site locations to meet the needs of the business
• Reliable, punctual, responsible, and Strong leadership skills
• creative, self-motivated, able to follow direction and a team player
• Demonstrate knowledge of plant material, hard material, and landscape practices
• Install trees, shrubs, perennials, flowers, etc.
• Sod and soil installation
• Perform physical labour including heavy lifting to execute all elements of each project
• Willingness to teach and learn from others
• Able and willing to follow detailed instruction
• Working At Heights, First Aid Trained & Certified - an asset

Job Types: Full-time, Seasonal

Salary: From $24.00 per hour

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
• Monday to Friday

Licence/Certification:

• Driving Licence (required)
