About the Internship:
Hey there! Are you a student or recent graduate looking for hands-on experience working with Content Management Systems (CMS) and learning more about the world of digital publishing? Wise Publishing is looking for 3 interns to join us for a 6-8 week internship where you will be able to learn all about how content gets integrated into our websites. Our websites Moneywise.com, Money.ca and BestCards.com have millions of readers and our syndicated news articles can be found on the front pages of Yahoo Finance, MSN News, Google News and more! This is a great opportunity for students who have theoretical knowledge of the digital publishing world and would love to learn more about how our business works and what digital publishing entails.
You will complete brief training at our Head Office at Yonge and Eglinton in Toronto and can then work hybrid for the duration of the internship. Some on-site days may be required upon request for additional training. On average, our team works on-site once a week. Candidates must be within commutable distance to our Head Office.
The daily schedule is flexible depending on availability. Our office hours at Monday-Friday from 9 am- 5 pm EST.

What You'll Learn Through This Internship:
  • Hands-on Experience with CMS: Interns will gain practical experience with Content Management Systems, an essential tool in digital publishing. This skill is highly valuable as CMS is the backbone of website content organization and publication.
  • Content Integration Understanding: The opportunity to learn how content is integrated into websites and the importance of maintaining consistency and quality in digital publishing.
  • Exposure to Digital Publishing: Working on websites like Moneywise.com, Money.ca, and BestCards.com, which have a wide readership, offers a unique perspective on the scale and impact of digital content.
Qualifications (Who You Are):
  • High school diploma
  • Currently enrolled in or a recent graduate of a diploma or degree in Communications, Publishing, Marketing, Journalism, or a related field, is a bonus but not required
  • Demonstrated interest in digital publishing; such as experience on school newspapers, websites, blogging, etc.
  • Experience with WordPress is a bonus!
  • An interest or demonstrated experience in writing, editing, copywriting, or communications
  • Detail-oriented with a keen eye for accuracy and consistency
  • Excellent organization and time management skills
  • High degree of tact and communication skills
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to changing technologies
