Xtend – Yard Labourer - Part-Time

Xtend Rentals and Safety is an Island owned Family Business renting everything from heavy equipment to small tools to Industry professionals and homeowners all over Vancouver Island. We have locations based in Nanaimo, Ladysmith (Cassidy) and Lantzville. We are a tight-knit team and work in a growing, fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities & Duties

Xtend is looking for a Part-Time Yard Labourer for our Ladysmith (Cassidy) location. We are seeking high energy, team oriented self-starters who enjoy working outdoors and with others. We're looking for full days on Mondays, and Part Time shifts the rest of the week to start with future Saturday availability required.

Duties will include (but are not limited to):

• Loading/unloading tools and equipment from client vehicles
• Washing and greasing machines
• Equipment inspections
• General housekeeping duties in the yard
• Work in collaboration with Drivers and Yard Supervisor
• Maintain optimal level of customer service and assist in resolving all customer issues
• Following all safety guidelines and protocol, including wearing all PPE

Skills and Qualifications:

• Be eager to learn and work pro-actively in a team
• Must have tool and equipment knowledge. Operating experience preferred
• Knowledge of our Xtend fleet equipment and small tools is an asset
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to multi-task and work under pressure
• Must have a valid Class 5 BC Driver's License and reliable transportation

Part-time, Permanent: Looking for a mix of shifts with Saturday availability.

Competitive Salary - based on experience starting at $20/hr
