Overview:
We are seeking a reliable and experienced Tow Truck Driver to join our team. As a Tow Truck Driver, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently transporting vehicles to designated locations. This is a great opportunity for individuals who enjoy working independently and have excellent customer service skills.
Responsibilities:
- Operate a tow truck to transport vehicles to specified destinations
- Perform pre-trip inspections to ensure the safe operation of the tow truck
- Secure vehicles properly using appropriate towing equipment
- Provide exceptional customer service by assisting customers with their vehicle transportation needs
- Maintain accurate records of all towed vehicles, including mileage, destination, and any damages incurred during transport
- Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while operating the tow truck
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and other team members to coordinate pick-up and drop-off locations
Skills:
- Proficient in data entry for accurate record keeping
- Excellent phone etiquette when communicating with customers and dispatchers
- Familiarity with shipping and receiving procedures
- Experience with phone systems, such as answering calls and taking messages
- Knowledge of AS400, SyteLine, 3PL, and transportation management systems is a plus
- Ability to analyze situations quickly and make sound decisions
