  • Plan, implement, lead, and evaluate specific expectations of curriculum to ensure YMCA Playing To Learn curriculum is maintained
  • Support colleagues and connect with families to provide a comprehensive program plan that is developmentally appropriate
  • Actively participate in programs with children, while being able to coordinate care and meet the dynamic needs of staff, children, and families
  • Establish and maintain positive daily communication and interaction with families, providing quality customer service and building meaningful relationships
  • Actively ensure licensing standards and safety standards are maintained for all childcare settings and outings
  • Execute behaviour care plans, utilizing a child-centered approach by engaging parents and educators and YMCA colleagues
  • Actively participate and promote philanthropy through YMCA Association initiatives

We’d love to hear with people with:

  • Only candidates who hold a British Columbia Early Childhood Educator Assistant certificate can be considered for these positions. *
  • Enthusiasm, energy, interpersonal and organizational skills necessary to support a positive team environment
  • Valid First Aid Certificate with CPR level B or C
  • Paid educational opportunities may be available to further ECE education
