We are seeking a Mid QA Automation Engineer with a strong background in JavaScript and/or TypeScript and hands-on experience in UI automation. This role involves working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment where adaptability, multitasking, and prioritization are essential. You will be part of a team that values collaboration, agility, and a quality-first mindset, supporting multiple daily releases using Kanban methodology.
Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts for UI and API testing, prioritizing API automation.- Utilize Playwright with TypeScript for UI automation to ensure comprehensive coverage of complex user interactions.
*Collaborate closely with developers, product managers, and stakeholders to understand requirements and ensure high-quality *deliverables.
- Manage and execute tests across multiple daily releases, identifying and addressing defects promptly.
- Maintain a balance between UI (30%) and API (70%) test coverage to align with product needs and automation strategies.
- Continuously refine and improve automation frameworks and processes to enhance efficiency and reliability.
- Provide clear, actionable reports on test results and quality metrics.
Qualifications
Proficiency in JavaScript and/or TypeScript.- Hands-on experience with UI automation frameworks, particularly Playwright.
- Strong understanding of API testing and automation principles.
- Experience working in an Agile/Kanban development environment.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver results in a fluid, fast-paced setting.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and collaboration abilities to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
Preferred Skills
Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and integrating automated tests into the build process.- Knowledge of other automation tools or frameworks is a plus.
- Experience in quality engineering for products with heavy UI interactions.
