Part-Time Junior Frontend Developer (Next.js, TypeScript, UI Development)

About the Role

We are looking for a junior frontend developer to join our team on a part-time basis. You will focus on UI development and implementing interactive features in our Next.js application. A strong understanding of React, TypeScript, and frontend best practices is required. You should have an eye for detail and be passionate about building clean, efficient, and reusable UI components.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working on frontend development challenges, collaborating with designers and backend developers, and continuously learning modern frontend technologies.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain UI components in a Next.js application using TypeScript
• Ensure the application is responsive, accessible, and user-friendly
• Implement interactive and dynamic frontend features using React hooks and context
• Work with designers to translate Figma or other design files into functional UI
• Optimize performance using best practices like code splitting, lazy loading, and caching
• Follow clean code principles and write maintainable, scalable frontend code
• Collaborate with the backend team to integrate APIs and server-side features
• Write and maintain unit and integration tests for frontend components

Requirements

• Strong proficiency in React.js and Next.js
• Solid understanding of TypeScript and its best practices
• Experience with CSS and Components frameworks (Material UI, Styled Components, or similar)
• Basic knowledge of frontend performance optimization techniques
• Familiarity with Git, version control, and Agile methodologies
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently in a remote environmentPreferred Qualifications
• Experience working with server actions and app router in Next.js
• Familiarity with state management libraries (Zustand, Redux, Redux Sagas, etc)
• Familiarity with form state management and validation (Formik, Zod, Yup, etc).
• Knowledge of component testing and UI testing frameworks (Vitest, React Testing

Library, Storybook, Playwright, etc)

• Basic understanding of RESTful APIs
• Interest in UX/UI design principles
