Job Description Coordinates technical systems infrastructure with all levels of leadership and staff, including planning, directing, and coordinating the architecture, design, and installation/management of these systems. Experience 8 years of experience in infrastructure operations management 5 years of experience in Windows Server operating systems and infrastructure 6 years of experience in current infrastructure systems/server management, including Active Directory, DNS/DHCP, multi-factor and federated environments, cloud solutions, VMware, Citrix, unified computing systems, backups, patching, anti-virus, Exchange, x86 hardware, SSO/SAML, Windows Server, storage area networks, interconnects, enterprise printing, management/monitoring tools, archiving technologies, load balancers, faxing, software-defined networking, data security management, and scripting Experience in business continuance planning, disaster recovery, and disaster testing Experience in environment change control, change management, and environment management Experience in ITIL service management Preferred Qualifications ITIL certification in IT Service Management Education Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field Certification Summary No professional certifications required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Strong leadership abilities with capability to develop and guide team members and work with minimal supervision Strong knowledge of applicable legal and regulatory requirements, e.g., Payment Card Industry and Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act Understands technical environments to create and document processes and procedures Able to be hands on Strong project management skills Strong knowledge of generally known information technology platforms/standards Well-developed organizational, written communication, and analytical skills Strong interpersonal skills to interact positively and productively with teams across organizational lines, including administrative/executive staff and patient care systems users Available 24/7 for issues and problem escalations Job Responsibilities Accomplishes information technology staff results by communicating job expectations, planning/monitoring/appraising job results, coaching/counseling/disciplining employees, and initiating/coordinating/enforcing systems, policies, and procedures. Maintains staff by recruiting/selecting/orienting/training employees, maintaining a safe/secure work environment, and developing personal growth opportunities. Maintains organization's effectiveness and efficiency by defining, delivering, and supporting strategic plans for implementing information technologies. Directs technological research by studying organization goals, strategies, practices, and user projects. Completes projects by coordinating resources and timetables with user departments and data center. Designs and implements short- and long-term strategic plans to make certain network capacity meets existing and future requirements. Builds/maintains asset and lifecycle management. Builds/maintains service level agreements based on infrastructure services (service catalog). Maintains remote management of systems, e.g., VPN, phone home, KVM. Co-owns DCLM with Manager, Network Operations Center. Monitors system performance across all areas of responsibility. Manages/monitors and optimizes service desk management ticketing for areas responsible. Verifies system performance results by conducting system audits of technologies implemented. Preserves assets by implementing disaster recovery/backup procedures, information security, and control structures. Aligns with network operations center on proactive monitoring and event resolution. Coordinates and provides guidance for network operations center staff on performing level 1 system monitoring and management, e.g., patching, reboots, and backups. Builds/maintains and optimizes key performance indicator reporting matrices. Provides active-active (zero downtime) strategic direction on system design and implementation. Manages, maintains, and optimizes all assigned system infrastructure components. Recommends information technology strategies, policies, and procedures by evaluating organization outcomes, identifying problems, evaluating trends, and anticipating requirements. Accomplishes financial objectives by forecasting requirements, preparing annual budget, scheduling expenditures, analyzing variances, and initiating corrective action. Maintains quality service by establishing and enforcing organization standards. Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, benchmarking state-of-the-art practices, and participating in professional societies. Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed. Ensures all systems are patched and release and firmware are current. Participates in a 24/7 on-call rotation. Participates in P1 leadership escalation management when requested. Responsible for all aspects of managing and leading a team including: interviewing, hiring, training, developing, directing work and processes, managing performance, recognizing, and rewarding employees.
