We are seeking a motivated, experienced INTERN, Product Engineering to provide support to our power module development in San Jose, California. She/He will support BU to evaluate the NPI device, modeling the switching regulator in Simplis/LTSpice, testing the new silicon to the Road Test Plan, creating test report based on the bench evaluation data, participating team data review and supporting customer reference design etc.…
Responsibilities and Duties include but not limited to:
- Performance optimization and characterization through simulations and lab testing
- Conduct all testing required for new product introduction creating new test methodologies
- Collecting data for datasheets and release notes and collating results with design and test engineers. Develop product evaluation kits and system reference design boards
- Board design planning
- Manage schematic and layout creation
Minimum Qualifications:
- Pursuing a master’s degree in electrical engineering or related field
- Understanding of circuit design
Preferred Qualifications:
- Proficient in writing professional technical documents and datasheets and creating technical drawings using MS Word and Visio. Strong knowledge of electrical/computer/software engineering fundamentals
- Knowledge of power electronics (i.e., DC-DC switch-mode power supplies)
- Understanding of circuit simulation tools and techniques
- Hands-on experience with lab equipment (i.e., oscilloscope, electronic-load, DAQ)
- Software development tools and techniques for lab automation (i.e., Python, LabVIEW)
- Proficient with test equipment such as oscilloscopes, electronic loads, spectrum/network analyzers and other common lab instruments and software (LabView).
For positions requiring access to technical data, Analog Devices, Inc. may have to obtain export licensing approval from the U.S. Department of Commerce - Bureau of Industry and Security and/or the U.S. Department of State - Directorate of Defense Trade Controls.
