Resumes are now being accepted for the salaried exempt position of The Utilities Coordinator, reporting to the Utilities department at Roquette America’s Keokuk plant site. This position will be based at our Keokuk corn-wet milling facility, will require interaction with both Salaried and Union workforce, and will require 24 hr / 7 day rotating shift coverage. Description: The Utilities Coordinator will provide technical support, and direct control panel operations for Roquette’s Power, Steam & Hydrogen Generation Facility to ensure that all systems are ran within all safety, environmental and operational requirements while achieving the highest efficiency, most economical and reliable operation. This position requires candidates to demonstrate excellent operational leadership, clear communication skills, strong people development and coaching abilities, and experience in nimbly managing short term activities and medium term projects. Main Responsibilities · Provide leadership for daily operational reliability and energy availability, along with the required support for aproduction matters. · Implement and maintain sound process controls through DCS operations and operators. · Technical troubleshooting of the steam and power production equipment. · Plan and initiate maintenance requisitions in order to maintain plant operational performance. · Assist with directing maintenance activities on a daily basis. · Plan within the department and interdepartmentally to maximize efficiency. Participate in the maintenance planning process and initiate maintenance requisitions to achieve quality and performance targets. · Execute improvement projects for reliability, yield, and rates and to reduce fixed and variable costs. · Manage and communicate Key Performance Indicators for the production area. · Lead adherence to established policies, procedures, programs, principles, and the bargaining unit contract. Qualifications · BS/BA Degree in engineering or related field or equivalent experience · 1-2 years experience in a Coal Steam Production or Power Production Facility; Experience as a control room operator preferred. · Demonstrates technical competency in at least two disciplines (Mechanical Maintenance, Maintenance, Chemistry or Operations) preferred · Demonstrates chemical unit operations and electrical power distribution operations knowledge strongly desired · Demonstrates sound, assertive, positive leadership skills · Demonstrates clear, informative and persuasive (verbal, written and presentation) communication skills · Demonstrates effective organizational and planning skills with the demonstrated ability to multitask · Demonstrates ability to execute and/or manage small projects effectively · Demonstrates strong troubleshooting and problem solving skills · Demonstrates fundamental understanding of mechanical equipment · Computer skills desired, especially SAP, Microsoft XL, Outlook, Power Point and Word · Demonstrates the ability to work alone with little or no direct supervision · Demonstrates statistics understanding, with statistical analysis interpretation capability preferred The duties, responsibilities, and requirements identified by this posting should not be interpreted as all-inclusive.
