Position Summary:
The Receiving Supervisor is responsible for leading multi-site receiving operations, inventory control, and supplier quality assurance. This role ensures OEM and customer specifications compliance while managing logistics, warehousing, and continuous improvement initiatives. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership experience, technical knowledge in manufacturing materials handling, and expertise in ISO 14001 compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead receiving, storage, and distribution processes to optimize inventory flow.
- Manage core storage and material handling operations, ensuring OEM compliance.
- Supervise a team of 10–20 employees, overseeing training, performance, and development.
- Implement and maintain ISO 14001 compliance policies in receiving and warehouse operations.
- Resolve supplier quality issues and collaborate with engineering teams on rework procedures.
- Oversee warehouse logistics and transportation coordination.
- Maintain accurate records using MS Word, Excel, and database tracking software.
- Operate a forklift as needed for material handling.
Qualifications:
- 2-year technical degree or equivalent experience in Production Materials or Quality Departments.
- 3-5 years of experience in receiving, quality, or logistics within manufacturing.
- Mechanical Inspection or Quality Technician certification preferred.
- Proven leadership in hiring, training, and supervising teams.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
