Accounting Clerk 

Targeted compensation: $19 - $21/hrSalary commensurate with experience and skill set

Responsibilities:

• Prioritize invoices according to cash discount potential and payment terms
• Respond to all vendor & customer inquiries
• Review all claims invoices for appropriate documentation and approval prior to payment
• Route claims invoices for the appropriate documentation if not originally present
• Take incoming calls through the accounting queue
• Enter invoices into batches
• Meet minimum productivity standards within first 90 days of employment
• All other duties as assigned

• High school diploma required, college courses in accounting preferred
• Must be well organized and a self-starter
• Must be able to follow standard filing procedures
• Detail oriented, professional attitude, reliable
• Possess strong organizational and time management skills
• Strong problem solving skills, basic accounting principles knowledge, documentation skills, research and resolution skills, data analysis and multi-tasking skills
• Proficient in Excel, Word, Outlook & 10-key by touch, Great Plains experience a plus
• Ability to type 60-65 wpm
• Basic 10-key skills
• Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing
• Ability to interact with employees and vendors in a professional manner
• Ability to work independently and with a team in a fast-paced and high volume environment with emphasis on accuracy and timeliness
• Ability to perform mathematical computations such as percentages, fractions, addition, subtraction, multiplication and division quickly and accurately
• Heavy customer service experience, call center environment is preferred
• Must commit to a set schedule with occasional overtime
