Senior Accountant

Purpose

Reporting to the Accounting Manager, the Senior Accountant is responsible for a wide variety of accounting duties. This position requires professional interaction with many, if not all, departments within 3A Composites USA, Inc. as well as with some outside entities. The ideal candidate is self-motivated, resourceful, and has experience with SAP.

Key Responsibilities:

• Transact General Ledger activities and work with Accounting Manager to close monthly GL – certain closing tasks.
• SAP Financial (FI) subject matter expert.
• General Ledger monthly account reconciliation and clearing of reconciling items.
• Prepare certain journal entries – recurring entries, accruals, etc.
• Examining, approving and validating A/P proposals. Daily Esker and SAP Recon.
• GR/IR clearing
• Interact with outside Tax services and Corp. Finance personnel as needed
• Internal controls – Annual update and testing of internal control documents. Asset Protection.
• Initiating electronic payments (ACH, Wires)
• Clear checks, wires
• Handle FI billings and credits
• Banking set ups and reconciliation of bank statements
• Calculation of several state sales and use taxes and payment to correct tax entities
• Complete yearly tax schedules as required by Deloitte tax
• Participate in year-end audit
• Special Projects as assigned by Accounting Manager throughout the year

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
• Minimum of 5 years of corporate accounting experience
• Strong knowledge of GAAP. IFRS also preferred
• Strong internal control background
• Detail oriented and strong work ethic
• Project management skills
• Ability to form good working relationships and interact with senior level executives
• Solid business acumen and problem-solving skills
• Strong computer skills, especially in SAP, Word and Excel
• Effective time management and organization skills
• High integrity level and confidentiality knowledge. Strict adherence to Code of Conduct.
