What are the responsibilities and job description for the Director of Technology position at 5Q Partners, LLC?
PURPOSE OF POSITION:
The Director of Technology will oversee the delivery of IT and Cyber Security leadership services to 5Q's clients, ensuring they receive high-quality, tailored, affordable, and scalable solutions to meet their technology, information and cyber security needs and challenges in support of their business goals.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
· Deliver fractional CIO services, as defined by LeadRE playbooks, to at least one client at all times.
· Develop deep relationships with the leaders of all 5Q business units and develop a thorough understanding of all 5Q service offerings, establishing a foundation for better decision making and leadership on behalf of our LeadRE clients.
· Manage and direct the LeadRE business unit including personnel assignments and scheduling, quality delivery and business unit profitability, and minimum bi-weekly meetings for all members to stay in synch .
· Work with the CFO to define business unit budgets and manage to those budgets adjusting as necessary to meet profit targets.
· Report business unit strategies and results to the 5Q management team as part of quarterly and annual planning sessions.
· Support the sales and marketing initiatives for LeadRE by participating in the sales process, providing technology and information expertise, creating technology and information proposals, and delivering technology and information presentations and demonstrations.
· Establish and operate processes to maximize utilization of LeadRE staff and align staffing levels with LeadRE client demand.
· Create and maintain the productization and playbooks for LeadRE services and ensure the consistency and quality of the service delivery. Playbooks should encompass delivery of recurring IT Director, fractional and advisory CIO services, fractional and advisory CISO services. Playbooks should also encompass LeadRE project work including IT assessments, cyber assessments, tabletop exercises, policy and procedure development, and any other projects services developed by LeadRE.
· Ensure LeadRE staff are properly and consistently utilizing LeadRE Playbooks for Client delivery.
· Mentor and guide LeadRE staff in the navigation of new or difficult scenarios encountered as part of service delivery to clients.
· Develop deep understanding of 5Q client strategies, industry trends, and emerging technologies and leverage this understanding to become a trusted advisor to our Clients and to the all 5Q service delivery teams.
· Responsible for the design, execution, and remediation of identified controls in this position’s area of responsibility.
· Ensure adherence to SOC2 policies for all areas of responsibility.
· Other projects and responsibilities may be added at the COO's discretion.
EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS
· Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, engineering, or related field. Master's degree or equivalent preferred.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS
· Minimum 10-15 years of management experience, preferably within a managed services or consulting environment
· Demonstrate successful organization transformation from current state to new/improved operational efficient state
· Successful leadership in multi-disciplined organization (e.g., software and/or services) with strong history of meeting revenue/growth targets
· Recognized service expert in multi-faceted, dynamic business environments
· Knowledge of and application experience with short- and long-term P&L management, planning, organization, and leadership disciplines
· Ability to develop strategies to influence key decision-makers
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills
· Capability to quickly establish relationships and interact with 5Q clients, partners, executives and managers and peers.
· Excellent presentation skills
· A demonstrated commitment to professional ethical standards in pursuit of quality service delivery and high customer satisfaction.
· Ability to adapt to a fast paced, continually changing, business environment while managing multiple priorities
· Responsible for the design, execution, and remediation of identified controls in your area of responsibility
· Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, Teams and Sharepoint platforms
