What are the responsibilities and job description for the Engineering Intern position at 5TH AXIS INC?
- Create and revise 2D drawings for components and assemblies according to specifications and standards.
- Utilize SolidWorks to develop detailed 3D models of products, parts, and prototypes.
- Collaborate with engineers and designers to support product development initiatives.
- Participate in hands-on testing and evaluation of prototypes and products.
- Assist in the analysis of test results and contribute to the refinement of designs.
- Contribute innovative ideas and solutions to enhance product performance and manufacturability.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Currently pursuing a degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field.
- Proficiency in 2D drafting and modeling using CAD software (experience with SolidWorks preferred).
- Experience with GD&T
- Familiarity with prototyping techniques and basic understanding of manufacturing processes.
- Experience with project management tools and methodologies.
- SolidWorks Modeling (Parts, Assemblies, and Bill of Materials).
- Please provide samples of completed 3D modeling projects.
- Previous internship or coursework experience in engineering or related fields.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Enthusiasm for hands-on work and a willingness to learn new skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize workload effectively.
