We’ve got what you’re looking for. Job Description: Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Structural Engineer to join our team! In this role you will get to design structural components for a variety of industrial and infrastructure projects . What You'll Be Doing: Performing complex engineering tasks and particularly important engineering work efficiently and accurately to support various industrial and infrastructure projects. Preparing engineering computations, quantity takeoffs, estimates, and designs. Preparing, coordinating, and supervising engineering design for assigned projects/tasks. Preparing technical specifications and scope of work descriptions. Coordinating structural engineering activities with those of other disciplines as necessary. Preparing requests for geotechnical investigations. Participating in proposal writing, client meetings, and client presentations. Committing to quality and continuous improvement through innovation, creative thinking, and improved results. What Required Skills You'll Bring: Must be fully conversant with Uniform Building Code and Standards (UBC), American Concrete Institute (ACI) Codes and Steel Construction Manual of American Institute of Steel Construction (AISC). Must have sound overall experience in designing reinforced concrete (cast-in-place and precast construction), structural steel and masonry structures Experience working with Autodesk REVIT. Professional Engineer (PE) registration in Texas is strongly preferred. SE License. EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (or related field) and typically 8 years of related work experience. Professional Engineer registration may be required. Minimum Clearance Required to Start: Not Applicable/None This position is part of our Critical Infrastructure team.
