The Facility Supervisor directs the maintenance team throughout their daily schedule and performs a variety of routine and skilled tasks involving general maintenance of facilities, equipment, and grounds with an increased responsibility for management of the HVAC systems.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Delegates cleaning and maintenance tasks to team members.
- Monitors the safety and cleanliness of interior and exterior areas.
- Makes routine plumbing repairs, replaces lighting, and makes electrical related repairs.
- Performs and oversees all preventive maintenance on heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems.
- Performs maintenance on the facility and makes repairs as needed.
- Works independently on routine recurring assignments or assists another worker in performing more complex tasks.
- Establishes and maintains effective working relationships with fellow employees.
- Reads and interprets blueprints, machine manuals, and schematic drawings to assist in making plumbing and electrical repairs.
- Uses Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) safety procedures, and appropriate equipment in completing assignments.
- Manages employee’s attendance, performance, and adherence to company standards, policies, and procedures.
- Conducts employee reviews.
- Provides coaching, support and corrective action as needed.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
