Job Summary
The Planner/Scheduler plays a critical role in ensuring efficient production processes and optimal resource utilization within the organization. Duties
- Develop and maintain detailed production schedules to meet customer demands while optimizing resource allocation.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including operations, procurement, and sales to ensure alignment on production priorities.
- Utilize SAP and MRP systems to track inventory levels, manage material requirements, and forecast future needs.
- Analyze production data to identify trends, bottlenecks, and opportunities for improvement in the fabrication and assembly processes.
- Implement lean manufacturing techniques to enhance operational efficiency and reduce waste.
- Monitor production progress against schedules and adjust plans as necessary to accommodate changes in demand or capacity.
- Prepare reports on production performance metrics for management review.
- Assist in training team members on best practices for production planning and operations management.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, or a related field is preferred.
- Proven experience in supply chain management or production planning within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and practices.
- Proficiency in using SAP or similar MRP systems for scheduling and inventory management.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets.
- Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members across various departments.
- Detail-oriented with exceptional organizational skills to manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
