A New Leaf's Phoenix Day Program is seeking a dedicated and experienced Toddler Lead Teacher to guide and inspire young learners in a nurturing environment. Hourly Pay Rate: $18.25
Schedule: Monday - Friday; 9:30 AM - 6:00 PM

QUALIFICATIONS
Education:
High School or GED, required
Bachelor’s in Early Education, preferred
Experience:
Experience in early child development and/or education, required
Minimum of a Child Development Associate Certificate and 2 years’ experience as a lead supervisory teacher of young children
Knowledge of Arizona Early Learning Standards and application in classroom planning
Knowledge of Quality First! requirements (ECERS, ITERS and CLASS)
Demonstrated ability to enter information into database and interpret/communicate developmental assessment results
Excellent leadership and communication skills
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES. Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
Ensure that children are safe at all times.
Sanitize classroom furnishings, equipment, materials and learning supplies used in the classroom every day.
Serve meals and drinks to children. Teach children healthy and personal habits.
Build relationships with parents and families; greet parents and children each morning and at time of pick up and communicate all appropriate information.
Complete intake and paperwork with parents and new children.
Complete online developmental assessments for each child, review results with parents, and enter data into database for reference in individual learning plans and classroom planning.
Create and submit weekly lessons plans.
Complete required paperwork i.e. attendance, meal counts, daily reports, health checks, etc.
Train, monitor and model appropriate language, behavior, and activities for children, teaching assistants and volunteers.
Assure availability of classroom and materials needed to support curriculum and weekly scheduled activities and readiness of classroom for scheduled learning.
Train and supervise assistant teachers. Complete performance reviews.
Complete scheduling, coverage and breaks for assigned classroom.
Approve timecards. Monitor and record training hours.
