A.P. Moller - Maersk is Hiring a Transportation Manager Near Salt Lake, UT

Description

The Transportation Manager is responsible for providing thorough service for all internal and external clients and carriers by using excellent, in-depth knowledge of company products and programs as well as communicating effectively and managing team members.

 What You'll Do:

  • Manage a team of truck load brokers
  • Develop and maintain Carrier relations, and act as liaison for TL sales manager
  • Research and resolve issues regarding freight and billing issues related to shipments
  • Daily communication with customers and vendors
  • Track & trace shipments daily
  • Schedule pick-up & delivery appointments

Requirements

  • Experience in Logistics/Trucking Industry required
  • Experience leading people
  • Knowledge of TL transportation terms
  • Proven communication skills a must (written & verbal)
  • Verifiable customer service experience, and the ability to communicate professionally with customers and vendors
  • Computer experience: Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel), ability to learn proprietary software & navigate multiple programs
  • Must be able to multi-task and function in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent problem solving and time management skills
  • Highly motivated
  • Detail oriented

Preferred Education and Experience:

  • Associates degree in business or related field
  • Experience working with Salesforce software or other sales management software
