As a barista, you will play a key role in creating exceptional experiences for our guests through the art of crafting delicious beverages and customer service.
Duties
- Grinding and brewing coffee and espresso
- Develop and maintain expert knowledge of coffee, with the ability to speak about and make recommendations about to customers
- Consistently prepare and serve a variety of well crafted and presented coffee drinks
- Provide outstanding customer service by engaging with guests in a friendly and professional manner
- Operate POS systems and handle cash transactions accurately
- Restock counter items
- Assist food runners, cashiers, and kitchen staff
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the coffee bar area
- Uphold company policies and health regulations at all times
Requirements
- High knowledge of coffee and knowledge of preparing a wide variety of coffee and espresso based drinks
- At least 1 year experience as a barista in a cafe or coffee shop setting
- Proficiency in basic math for measurements and calculations
- Strong time management skills to handle multiple orders efficiently
- Excellent customer service skills with a focus on exceeding expectations
- Familiarity with using cash registers and POS systems
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Willingness to learn and adapt to changing needs
- Passion for coffee and food, and a willingness to share knowledge with customers
