Description
Summary: Financial Analyst II will be responsible for preparing and maintaining the financial forecast and budget for the Club. Collaborates with the accounting team and internal customers to understand each department’s key performance indicators (KPIs) and reporting needs. Provides detailed financial records, analyzes current as well as future financial trends to assist in improving the Club’s financial status.
Business Partnering / Communication
Function as liaison between Finance and business line. Provides and communicates insights in a timely manner to the right individuals to drive action in the business. Foster a culture of accountability throughout the business when performance goals are not met.
Business Acumen
Understand key performance indicators (KPIs) and reporting needs of assigned business areas. Uses professional concepts and organization internal policies and procedures to solve a variety of financial reporting problems.
Forecasting / Budgeting
Assist with club-wide performance management through variance analysis (actuals vs budget and forecast). Capture forecast and budget adjustments throughout the year.
Process and team management
Understands existing procedures and helps create new procedure documentation as needed. Recommend on-going changes and improvements.
Qualifications
Education
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting or related field required.
Experience
3-5 years of reporting/financial analysis experience. Budget and forecasting experience preferred.
Skills
Strong knowledge of financial reporting systems and processes. Advanced MS Excel and modeling skills including pivot tables, macros and v-lookups. Strong business acumen and ability to understand financial data workflows. Strong process, system and functional skills. Ability to collaborate with internal and external partners across organization. Working knowledge of financial planning software (Workday Adaptive Planning, Prophix, etc.) and data analysis tools (PowerBI, Alteryx, SQL, etc.) a plus.
