Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting our dental team and ensuring a smooth workflow in the clinic. This position requires strong organizational skills, the ability to fabricate dental appliances, and familiarity with supply chain management processes. The Dental Assistant will assist in various clinical tasks while maintaining a high standard of patient care.
Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during examinations and procedures by preparing instruments and materials.
- Fabricate dental appliances as directed by the dentist.
- Maintain accurate patient records and manage appointment schedules.
- Ensure that all dental equipment is sterilized and maintained according to health regulations.
- Procure necessary supplies for the clinic, utilizing systems such as Oracle EBS or SAP for inventory control.
- Collaborate with the supply chain team to manage demand planning and inventory levels.
- Provide exceptional patient care by addressing patient inquiries and ensuring comfort during visits.
- Assist in administrative tasks as needed, including billing and insurance verification.
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a Dental Assistant or in a similar role is preferred.
- Knowledge of dental terminology and procedures is essential.
- Familiarity with supply chain management concepts, including procurement and inventory control, is a plus.
- Proficiency in using software systems such as Oracle EBS or SAP for managing supplies and inventory.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact with patients and team members.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team while also being self-motivated.
