Job Title: Delivery Associate Status: non-exempt
Summary:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. As a Delivery Associate, you will be responsible for transporting goods to their destination on behalf of ABC Package Express. This position is a 1st shift position.
Responsibilities:
- Pack, load and scan products onto vehicles according to companys specifications.
- Loading, transporting and delivering items to clients or businesses in a safe, timely manner.
- Adhere to assigned routes and following time schedules.
- Abiding by all transportation laws and maintaining a safe driving record.
- Develops and maintains outside vendor and service provider relationships.
- Preparing reports and other documents relating to deliveries.
- Corresponds with Lead Drivers and Dispatchers, offering motivation and support via electronic messaging and telephone
- Exhibit sound business judgment in all decisions.
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced, high-stress environment
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Experience with operating a pallet jack
- Reliable mode of transportation
- At least 21 years of age with a good driving record
- Pass drug, alcohol screening test, background, and MVR verification and screening
- Ability to read map and utilize GPS
- Proficiency with a diverse staff with varied skills and cultural diversity.
Work Environment:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to extreme cold, extreme heat, wet/humid outdoor weather and non-weather conditions.
