We’re looking for highly passionate and proactive individuals with a proven record in academia sales development and account management. From early funnel development and facilitating initial conversations to developing best practices, you will be an integral member of our sales organization.
In this role, you’ll be responsible for creating excitement about ABclonal and driving revenue with researchers and scientists. You will be selling into Universities and individual labs. Knowledge of antibody, and/or molecular enzyme sales is a must.
You will be reporting to the Associate Director of Academia Sales, and working very closely with an impassioned and supportive team. Your feedback and client insights will be heard and translated into business changes. Compensation Structure: Base Commission
Compensation is commensurate with experience.

Responsibilities
- Research and identify opportunities for developing business relationships with new and existing accounts in Universities and labs and other opportunities where ABclonal’s products can add value. Prospection methods include but are not limited to outbound calls and emails, trade shows, market intelligence data, video presentations, and face-to-face meetings.
- Take full responsibility for inbound leads, inquiries, and requests. You will follow up, schedule, visit, and track conversations of those leads to customers and build a robust pipeline of high-quality, actionable opportunities.
- Conduct sales calls at client sites; more than 60% of the work contributes to field sales activities in the assigned territory.
- Achieve sales quotas by providing excellent customer service and performing the entire sales process from inquiries, and quotations to closing sales and after-sales account management. Sales development best practices include but are not limited to emails, phone and video conferences, site visits, and social drips.
- Be responsible for developing and supporting high-value opportunities for academia clients using products from across the ABclonal to deliver enhanced client value
- Strategize with team members to innovate and improve the overall sales process. Design and execute strategic business expansion plans in the market. Provide market feedback and business insights that can be delivered back into the organization for product development and marketing plan
- Work collaboratively with other departments to ensure internal and external alignment of materials, deliverables, and expectations
- Exercise administrative responsibility for required reports to the Associate Director of Academia Sales and entries into the CRM system
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in scientific field, preferred majors in molecular biology or biotechnology; Master’s degree or above preferred
- Proven experience (2 years) in strategic account partnering or Business Development in Pharma/biotech fields
- A fundamental understanding of antibody and molecular enzyme products is required
- Highly motivated individual who thrives in a collaborative environment and can exercise keen judgment while navigating open-ended situations with a good degree of independence
- Strong presentation skills and comfortable with executive audiences
- Ability to travel as required within the USA
- Team player with an open communication style
- Excellent client-facing skills and ability to develop deep, long-term relationships
Salary : $60,000 - $90,000
