Description

Responsibilities:

• Support and execute activities to achieve strategic operational goals and KPIs.
• Actively and objectively seek out, identify, and evaluate opportunities to improve accuracy, efficiency, and productivity.
• Organize and arrange all customer, manufacturing transfers, subcontractor, and return goods shipments.
• Process shipments using FedEx Ship Manager Software, UPS Software and DHL Express Online Services.
• Manage and resolve issues associated with transportation, import and export, and logistics.
• Ensure orders are in compliance with regulations, policies, laws, and requirements.
• Coordinate transportation providers to ensure prompt and proper movement of shipments.
• Prepare all required documentation including but not limited to Bill of Lading and Dangerous Goods Declaration.
• Prepares documents and forms to include but not limited to Shipper’s Letter of Instruction, Commercial Invoice, and International Maritime Dangerous Goods Declaration to move goods efficiently through import and export steps and procedures. 
• Ensure truck / container / air shipments fall within the required weight limits and dimensions.
• File freight claims with Transportation Providers and manage the closure of claims with accounting.
• Verify that all transportation charges are accurate and resolve any discrepancies.
• Update ABEC system and appropriate ABEC personnel on the status of shipments.
• Drive Corrective Action initiatives and actively participate in their resolution.
• Adhere to all company policies (Safety, Human Resources, IT, or other).
• Perform any other duties and/or tasks that may be assigned on an as needed basis.

Requirements

Qualifications 

• Minimum of 1-year prior relevant experience in manufacturing industry and or warehouse environment.
• Experience with coordinating sea, rail, highway, and air transportation. 
• Exposure/experience in international shipments and customs clearance and documentation. 
• Ability to communicate and collaborate with both internal and external organizations
• Ability to wear personal protective equipment
• Proven problem-solving skills 
• Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks of equal importance concurrently 
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, with exceptional organizational capabilities
• Ability to challenge the status quo to evolve business in more efficient and effective manner
• Ability to work in a global environment and to travel

Desired attributes: 

• Experience in logistics management system
• DOT & IATA certification
